Dee Nickerson’s works explore living in the countryside, and activities that she enjoys such as sewing, cycling, walking, and contemplating life. Dee’s memories of Norfolk have a large influence on her artwork.

Dee was born in South Norfolk in 1957. From an early age she found escapism in creating art and fashion. Inspired by a love of fashion and horses, and influenced by Munnings, Hockney and Jackie Magazine, Dee soon decided she wanted to be an artist. She has been a full-time artist ever since.

Dee Nickerson most often uses acrylics and pastel, and is considering branching out into ceramics and printmaking.
